I was thinking about renting a townhouse instead of an apartment for the fall. Does anyone know how you find ones available, etc. I saw some on tarheelcos.com but they don't give very much information. I figure most of them are privately owned, but i wanted to know how you find ones like falcon ridge and those in that area or others in cary that would be available in the fall.

yeah ive been on tar heel company's website, but there really is hardly any information on their townhomes. How do you rent from them? Just go to their office?

Some people think Sumter Square is ghetto, but I love it. I live in a 2br, 1.5 bath townhouse. 1050 sq. feet, with a huge kitchen and big bedrooms. I pay $625 a month, but I think we got that on special.

my neighbor is probably getting really motivated to rent his by now. it has been vacant since august. If you want his phone number I will give it to you, so long as your not one of those people that thinks it has to be quiet for you to sleep.

If your one of "those people" please move to cary.

yeah i kinda like it quiet. I mean, it doesn't have to be silent, but the drunk screaming in the middle of a tuesday night is ridiculous. I don't need one until the end of July, not now.

Or maybe you could learn to be considerate of others. Sorry I'm not trying to be mean, but "those people" think that it would be nice if "you people" could learn to have fun without disrupting everyone around you.

What gave you the impression my house is the only one emitting disturbances...........

My neighbors wake me up too. Sometimes even the broken glass all over the place bugs me, or the fact that the christmas deer I put in my yard got kicked almost in to orbit (not by my guests)does as well. If you go to sleep at 9pm nightly you better bring some earplugs or substances to help you sleep. If you cant handle the screeching domestic arguments from the shit townhouses on kaplan, or the occasional sound of gun shots from brent rd dont move up here. You will be miserable, and people will laugh at you for complaing about things that dont seem to bother the other MAJORITY of people that already live there.

I was just giving you advice on where to move (which you asked for), no need to give me any advice I did not ask for. Since your post made it clear how anal you are I strongly encourage you to focus your search in Cary.

Thats all.

^the man has a point.

and my side isn't that quiet either. i got this dude that lives down the way that enjoys screeching in at all hours of the day with his bass and volume on full. i've got neighbors whose dogs bark all the time. i've got college students that party. i've got the above mentioned mariachi band (which i like, hehe). i've got kids that scream in the afternoon (which is cool--sound of laughter like that is kinda nice and refreshing).

but as far as finding a place--look online for townhome complexes. rental companies will advertise in many ways--many online. self owned may not (just in the paper or just a sign on the property itself). so for that--i'd just go to the complexes and write down numbers. it's a busy way to do it...but prolly your best bet. good luck!

I'm sorry I didn't mean to aim it at you. I live at University House now and I do wear earplugs, I don't go to bed early and it is just really rude on school nights when I have 8:00 classes to be up until 4 in the morning screaming outside of my window for no apparent reason.
