maxthon is MUCH greater than firefox after some tweaking and never crashes...(you can give it all the same controls as Firefox as well CTRL+T and that stuff)

http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=63598 is a great resource that jimb0 showed me...look around there too

how about not putting all that fucking garbage on your clean new PC.

You SHOULD get :

-winrar (its far better than winace or winzip)
-microsoft antispyware (far better than adaware or spybot)
-Symantec Antivirus (use the schools if you can)
-Nero Burning ROM
-firefox/thunderbird
-acrobat
-divx and quicktime

other than that, put on things you will use.

^

first go to the Gordian Knot download page and install the codec pack

then install Zoom Player

if you install the codecs through zoom player you have to do them 1 at a time

ya know.. windows media player and powerdvd are about the best video players you're gonna find on windows, I don't see the point in installing 989479872394873 different ones for the one type of file they make do a little better with than wmp.
