Are you kidding?

We lost McCargo, Mario, Manny, Tulloch, Hudson, and Hoyte on defense...

Then Hall, Clark, Morris, TJ Williams, some other OL, and Hicks on offense....

You are kidding yourself if you dont think we're gonna suck next year.

Bad offense and bad defense. That equals suck.

The last time we had to replace this many d-lineman, we had one of the worst defenses in the nation.

we weren't exactly the greatest team this year as it was...

who knows what a fresh start would bring. All I know is with Morris gone we should suffer a lot less penalties at the line.

winning 3 acc games isnt a good thing. you cant get THAT worse. if we have mediocre players who play smart and dont make as many silly mistakes we will be good

^^nah. it will open up all kinds of possibilities for drinking games.

you can start off each game by taking a drink for each loss on your record so that the worse the record gets, the less you care

We have a legitimate shot to go 0-8 in the conference.

I'd set the over/under at 2 conference wins, and feel good about taking the under.

FUCK!

Maybe we'll take the underdog role and run with it. Maybe this could help with recruiting. Get some highly recruited players by basically guaranteeing them playing time in their freshman year.

i did not call Bunting a better coach, he just came in better prepared

Chuck, like Herb, doesn't comprehend the seriousness of playing Carolina

just b/c we lost players that are "known names" on the team does not mean the other players and the new players are going to suck
you will learn their names and be cheering for them in no time...

maybe if we keep the entire coaching staff in tact for more than one season..players would want to stay....no one should be leaving early except for Mario.

Tulloch could have made his draft status skyrocket if he had stayed next year.

As far as Mccargo and Morris go, who the hell knows when they will get drafted, they are both good NFL prospects (Morris mostly for his size alone, hes an idiot though) but they both could have improved their status as well

i just do'nt understand some of these guy's decision... particularly Tulloch and McCargo... they could own the defensive unit next year, and it wouldn't have been that bad... but we had an excellent bowl game defensively, so they're all jumping based partly on that (the other part is that our D won't get as much publicity next year cuz it just won't be as good)...

the problem with jumping based on bowl performance, is that NOBODY WAS WATCHING OUR BOWL GAME BECAUSE IT WAS BORING!!!!!!!, so nobody saw their performances

This news is great

Now we will be picked last in the league

So no hype to live up to

This is great

It will make losing much easier to deal with

Yeah i don't think people understand that with having a good defense in the past we recruited well too and picked up two 4 star DE, 4 Star Safety, and some quality 3 star line backers...I'm not saying our defense will be nearly as good as we're used to, but we don't really know how they'll be they could be amazing or be horrible, I just know we still have talent and we'll have to see how they play together when the time comes, and hopefully we'll be surprised...

I highly doubt Tulloch could've done much next year to improve his status. He was 2nd in the ACC and 12th nationally in tackles, 1st team All-ACC, MVP of the bowl game, and he's losing a dominating front four that basically freed him up for tackles. Next year the OL will get to the 2nd level without a lot of trouble and be able to engage the LB's. He's limited in size and that's not going to get any better.

Morris is stupid. He's nowhere near ready.

McCargo is probably leaving because a depleted line next year will mean more double teams for him and less production. Might as well on somewhat of a high note, although teams will look unfavorably at the fact that he was injured the last 1/4 of the season.

[Edited on January 9, 2006 at 8:18 PM. Reason : sacks = tackles.]

I'm telling you...the last two seasons we started winning when I stopped believing. I know it has nothing to do with that, but even if we were to lose at least I'm not as mad about it.

We have one more considering it.... I really don't know who... but apparently we do.

My guess is either Garland Heath or Leroy Harris (Probably Harris)

You are in absolute denial if you think our defense could be good next year.

Our defense BLEW the year we started Mario and McCargo as freshmen.

Pressley/Tank will be alright at DT but our ends are gonna be trouble.

Our linebackers who knows...

We know we'll be weak at CB and pretty average at safety.

We know our Oline is going to stink. We know our QB is going to stink. We know our WR's are going to be unimpressive.

We cant say for sure if Deraney will be the '05 or the '04 version.

We know we have good RB's and thats it.

That is a bad team.

Pink,

There's more to the story than meets the eye. Morris didn't have a choice... he was forced into it (Family issues.)

Who are our non-conference games?

I will take us to go 2-6 in the conference cause I think we can win one game and then swing one upset.

football is the one sport where u never know till they hit the field. im telling you. look at tenn. coming into the season they were favorites to dominate the sec and posssibly play for a national tittle. and look what happpend there. not much to be sad about considering we can only get a little worse. were bound to get a few lucky games and a few games where our hbs go crazy
