seriously, i usually eat this sort of thing up, but not only are the little "acting" scenes terrible, but the whole movie is terrible. it has some "wow" moments, I guess, but the whole thing, though a nice idea, is completely silly
http://skeptico.blogs.com/skeptico/2005/04/what_the_bleep_.html a pretty good review

The first was the claim that when Columbus arrived in the West Indies, the natives were literally unable to see his ships. Why? Because they had never seen ships before, so ships did not exist in their reality.
I had to rewind the film to make sure I hadn’t missed the part where they said this was just a fable. But they were stating it as fact. This idea is just too dumb to be considered seriously. Even if true, how could anyone verify it? I have searched the web for the source of this story to no avail, and conclude the film makers just made it up." |
I was completely stoned while watching this movie, and even THEN it was like gibberish. In the state I was in, I should have been riveted. I was literally laughing at it, and when they said this bs about the ships, I about cried

I rented this movie, and it was horrible. Of ALL the movies i've EVER watched, i've never once shut one off in the middle, except this one. I stopped it about 45 minutes or so in to the movie (mostly because it was complete BS). 1/14/2006 2:03:06 AM |
