basically, it comes down to fouls. we can't draw fouls if we dont attack the paint. If or when they put simmons on the bench, it's over. Brack has been sucking without simmons in the game. Maybe mccauley can steal some minutes -- he has the best post moves between the 3.

outside of that, we need to be physical and make it feel really shitty for them to score points on us. i predict that their trap and pressure will force many turnovers, though, as it did at carolina. when playing an over play defense, I always wince every time we throw that lateral pass at the top of the key.

Just as a huge hypothetical. . . IF we were to win, and then win out along with Duke, would Duke still get the title based on a better overall record, or would we get it because we beat them head-to-head? Overall record makes it convenient during the regular season when you have a bottleneck, but should that really be used at the end after all teams have played 16 ACC games?

It will also have to be like the last time we beat them in RBC -- we have to want to win more and get all of the garbage. We played so hard that game that we lost to clemson in the next game.

Do you honestly think McCauley has a better post game than Simmons?

I agree that Ced is the key. Hopefully he doesn't commit have assigned many fouls.

If two teams have the same conference record, they do use head-to-head for seeding. One year in the late '90s there was a 4-way tie for 1st in the ACC regular season.

Anyone going to Reynolds (or was it the RBC) to watch it on the big screen? I don't think I will since they don't have alcohol and I'm not exactly 21 yet... but it seems like it would be an exciting thing to do. Thank God class got cancelled next Wednesday night.

^^not really, yeah we haven't beaten dook in awhile but it's not going to be that much of an upset State pulls it off like it would have been in years past. We are one of the projected teams to beat Dook, we are on the radar reguardless of how unlikely are chance really are.

Foul trouble is going to be key, just like it was against UNC. Need Ced/Brackman to log a lot of minutes. Need a similar effort as yesterday from Cam. I would love to see him man up like he did against Brendan Plavich from UNCC last year on Reddick. Of course, if he got that physical against Duke, they'd have him fouled out in 10 minutes.

I was going through old VHS tapes of games I had last night. Got to the heart breaking loss we had in Cameron back in the Justin Gainey, Kenny Inge days. Down 3 with 4 seconds. Get the ball into Gainey and he heaves up a 3. Duke is trying to foul before the 3 to put us at the line. We get a break and go to the line for 3 foul shots. Gainey misses the 2nd. Misses the 3rd intentionally as we are down 2. Marshall Williams with the tip in at the buzzer. Awesome finish to regulation. Unfortunately, we lost in OT, so I trashed the tape.

I'd love nothing more than a W, but I don't see it happening.
