Has anyone seen it? Comments? I'm interested from the synopsis, and b/c it's a particularly different role for Pierce Brosnan.

I went to see this movie at Raleigh Grande. It was okay, but not really my kind of humor. I could see a lot of TWW'ers getting a kick out of it though.

i thought it was alright...my friends thought it was the best movie they've seen in years...seriously...

Quote :
"The Matador is one super duper film. You read correctly, this is more than a movie, it is officially a film. Pierce Brosnan and Greg Kinnear are perfect for their roles. Pierce Brosnan is the “anti-Bond” in this role. He plays a low-life assassin who is losing his edge. No address, no family, but plenty of regret. Greg Kinnear is a businessman who isn’t having the best year either. When the two meet at a bar in Mexico City they start a relationship that will take them on a magical journey. And by magical journey I mean lots of funny things happen and Pierce Brosnan steals every scene. This movie isn’t for everyone. More for intellectual people…..or atleast people with a sense of humor.

If you don’t like this movie you aren’t a real person. "

it was awesome. far better than I expected. Brosnan's character is so well developed and interesting - far cry from the Bond stuff.

It's very much a comedy, keep that in mind.

It's one of those movies that grows on me until I'm dying to see it again when it's out on DVD.

Saw it today. Definately not slapstick. Its funny in a cheeky way. I really enjoyed it. Pierce Brosnan rules. I like him in all of his films.
