my bike was stolen in the last two days from behind my house in Raleigh, NC near Horne & Vanderbilt St (NCSU area)..
it is a black IRO mark V track bike with drop bars and a front brake. it has red electrical tape on the top tube and on the front end of the downtube. Also it has two spoke cards in the back wheel. If you see anyone with this bike, please U-Lock their ass to a parking meter and call me at 919 272 1295. I am prepared to give up a reward (in $ or bike parts), i just want my bike back!

its in parts by now. You have about -50% chance of ever seeing it again, even less chance of finding the whole bike.

Which is why you keep any bike worth more than 10 bucks inside around here.

My roommate kept hers on our backporch, b/c no one is rarely behind our townhouses. She never really used it but went out to grab it one day and it was GONE!!! WTF people. I HATE PEOPLE WHO STEAL!!!!

yea, once your bike is gone, it's gone...slight chance of getting it back if you logged the ID#. mine got stolen freshman year, and sophomore year another friend of mine got his stolen, while the other had his bent in half (which was actually pretty fuckin funny when we found it).

my roommate my freshman year stole a cannondale when he was in high school down in hilton head. he rode it around campus all the time and then the thing was stolen outside of metcalf a few months into the first semester. i reported it stolen. i thought that was kinda odd, but the police did find it, although it was in parts in some guys room in owen with about 8 other bikes. i thought it was a little justice.

My bike was stolen off my trunk bike rack while driving across Arizona. I was checking into a hotel and was gone for ten minutes, came back, and it was gone.

So remember kids, unless you like throwing down a grand every year on a new bike remember to get a car rack your bike actually locks into.
