Does anyone know a good site to download the Fedora Core 4 i386 DVD iso?
I've tried a couple FTP and HTTP sites both on my windows and my linux and every site either thinks the download is "done" after 80 megs or so or it just locks up when the transfer reaches a peak speed.
new OS every 6 months being a good idea my ass. 1/24/2006 10:06:05 PM |

that looks more like a problem with your box than the Fedora servers
try opening one of the ftp servers using konqueror I guess, assuming FC3 is what you're running.. if you're using windows you can use getright or similar.. I would guess there would be a download assistant for linux as well..
there's also a way to just use yum to upgrade from FC3 to FC4 1/24/2006 10:54:01 PM |

^^w00t, holding steady with 23 more hours to go. Guess not a lot of people have the torrent open because FC4 was released back in June. At least I won't totally lose the download if it gets cut off.
thanks for the suggestion.
^ also a good idea. I'll do both and see which one finishes first

use wget or curl, both can resume incomplete downloads 1/25/2006 10:40:12 AM |
