I havent seen him play that bad in two years.


He's got some quick hands and gets some deflections but the motherfucker double dribbled TWICE tonight and I could have matched his shooting from halfcourt tonight.

Dude he was like 1-90 from the field.

He had an assload of turnovers and they were throwing alley oops on him when he fell asleep in halfcourt sets.


He cant possibly play any worse than that.

yes, his shooting was terrible tonight. (2-7) (1-6 from 3)

but 6 assists, numerous pass deflections, and like a said earlier, 2 HUGE hustle plays for lose balls really allowed us to take the lead in a game that was decided by 1 or 2 possesions.

below average game? certainly.

did the hustle plays make the shooting woes easier to digest? HELL YES

If you want to be charitable, 6 assists cancels out the miss shots (it doesnt really, but for the sake of argument). What do you have left?

Getting blown by on defense costs much more than a deflection. Turnovers cost a lot more than "hustle." In this game, we paid a lot more than we gained by having atsur. It's simple as that.

No amount of hand waving is going to make the list of negatives smaller than the list of positives.

its funny how negative most of you supposed fans are. This is the best start we have had in years, we are second in a premier conference. A few years ago we would have lost that game by 10. An ugly win is still a win. I will take 6-2 with two ugly wins. We tend to play to our competition. Atsur had a bad game no doubt, but he is not as Athletic in transition as the two teams guards who we just played. His threes are clutch and he hit the game sealing shot.

by no means was Atsur solely responsible for this close of a game!

was it not Evtimov who on a slow break pulled up for a 35 foot three pointer at the top of the key, only to miss and have UVA score and tie the game?

Was it not Gavin, who on 2 different occasions gave a weak ass foul only to have UVA complete it for a three point play?

was it not Bennerman, who threw that terrible inbounds pass to Bethel with 10 seconds left that gave UVA another opprotunity to tighten the game?

and btw, Atsur hustle play happened right after that play. (even though he missed the free throw)

I'm not saying he played great, because he didnt, but our shitty play was a collective effort and the whole team, not one point gaurd, should be held responsible.

MOST OF THE OTHER PLAYERS MADE UP FOR THEIR FUCKUPS

Grant didnt score as much, but he only missed 1 shot and he got boards (very important when the other team is scoring in transition and on putbacks). He hurt us a LOT less than atsur did, while he helped about as much as atsur did while in the game.

Atsur was the worst. He was the biggest negative. If you wanted to improve out play by taking out a player in that game, he is the one you would have taken out.

This is not a hard concept to understand. Everyone in the fucking world knows beforehand that he sucks in these kinds of matchups. Too bad whatever offense he committed before the game didn't cause him to sit out this game.
