I want to go fire off some rounds. Only found one range in Raleigh (Davies). Anything else indoor or outdoor that will be open long enough for me to take any required safety course?

PDHSC off Tryon, they don't have the wait 2 second in between shots rule that Davi's does, http://www.pdhsc.com/

I prefer PDHSC... the guys that work there are awesome and make you feel a lot more welcome than Davi's

I second that, the guys at Davi's creep me out, like they're just looking for a reason to start WWIII up in that place

Can I get visitor passes, or do I have to pay some ridiculous fee?

Visitor's Pass is $15/day plus I think $1 for a lane fee

"$15 a day (guest pass...)" That just seems so insane to me... I'm used to going out in the woods or the riverbed and shooting skeet or targets for the cost of gas to get down there and shells. I'm glad I'm back in the boondocks... but things are changing here too...
