Can you match the 1992 debate participant with his quote? The question was how to reduce the deficit.

Quote :
"...asking the wealthiest Americans and foreign corporations to pay their fair share of taxes and investing and growing this economy."

Quote :
"Well, I'm a little confused here, because I don't see how you can grow the deficit down by raising people's taxes. You see, I don't think the American people are taxed too little. I think they're taxed too much. I went for one tax increase and when I make a mistake I admit it. "

Quote :
"I'm just a businessman. I was down in Texas taking care of business, tending to my family. This situation got so bad that I decided I'd better get into it.

The dollar's gone through the floor. Now, whose fault is that? Not the Democrats. Not the Republicans. Somewhere out there there's an extraterrestrial that's doing this to us, I guess. Put it to you bluntly, American people. If you want me to be your president, we're going to face our problems. We'll down our debt. We'll pass on the American dream to our children, and I will not leave our children a situation that they have today."

Perot had his hands in the Iran-Contra affair somehoworother, although I don't remember in what fashion or to what extent. I don't ever remember that being brought up in the '92 election campaign, though.

I don't really know a ton about the guy, and he isn't very "Presidential", but from what I know about his politics, I'm a fan.

If memory serves, he paid for a team to go in and set some of his employees loose, which in and of itself makes him baller as fuck.

^ That was the case.

And I'm not sure if a person's qualified for president if he hasn't hired elite mercenaries to strike a target on foriegn soil at some point in his life.

what was up with him withdrawing from the race and then re-entering it?

and i wonder what kind of votes he would've gotten if he'd been on the ballot in 2004.

how old is that guy now anyway?

id totally vote for him as long as he was more liberal on social issues like the dreaded gay rights and abortions OF DOOM.
