I hate Maryland and Maryland only.

As far as fans go I don't like the Walmart Nation ignorant rednecks from Gastonia that call in to the Packman and talk junk. For UNC it's less the actual team than the fans. It's more I just want to humiliate them on floor and the field. I think Roy Williams is a class act, while Bunting The Belly is a douche. He always finds time to insult State and our academics.

1. crapolina - more to do with the arrogant attitude the fans, team, and school has towards everyone else, like its their right to win games.
2. Dook - even if they suck in football its fun to watch them run around the field and loose, kinda like carolina a few years ago.
3. Everyone else - It changes depending on my mood, season, and rankings... I'd have to give a slight edge to wake and maryland though because of recent games/incidents...

UNC is the only one I really hate.

I'm actually fairly neutral to Duke, I just hate the media hype. I can't really hate Wake because I go here now (but I started pulling against them after the crotch punch, and I've been pulling against them this year in the ACC as well). I don't like Maryland or Miami, but I can't say that I "hate" them anywhere near the same level as CH--although in football, I've despised UMD since the last game of my senior year. Nothing against the rest.

I try not to read other schools' message boards, though, because they make me hate everyone. I've hated Charlotte since reading their boards before we played them last year, I hate Wisconsin now because of their boards (how can you be cocky about your basketball program when you lose at home to ND State?), etc.

Maryland rose up in my list with the already aforementioned football game for Rivers' senior year and before that their Orange Bowl appearance when they threw oranges on the football field. To top things off, before Paul’s crotch incident, there was the Steve Blake no call elbow to Hodge that led to an elbow from Hodge to Blake that not only got called intentional in game but was the one few times I can remember Swofford bringing disciplinary action against an student athlete, compared to all the actions among other athletes that have occurred recently that don't even match and not a word from Swofford. Gary Williams and Ralph Friedgen’s existence alone just fuel my dislike that for their programs.

I know things have changed and these events have long past, but I not one to easily forget what those things mentioned above since the mere sight of their fans reinforce my hatred.

you know if chris paul hadnt punched juice in the nuts, we would have been a much lower seed in the tourney. we would have had a tough time beating a WF team w/ chris paul on a neutral court, i mean we couldnt beat them at hom.

It's hard to say whether we could have won with Paul playing--it would've been much, much tougher, but not necessarily impossible. We played them close both times he was there (the lead they ran up on us in W-S was from when Jules was benched at the start).

There are many reasons why I hate UMD. The senior day antics really started it, including their fans

that day. Of course the year before that they ruined my first ever live State basketball game. One

of my more recent encounters for me to reassure my hatred for them happened before this past

years football game. So I thought I'd treat my parents to a nice Thanksgiving weekend by having

them come up for the Maryland game. We got a hotel room at the hotel across the street from the

stadium where Damon's is. Some Maryland fans were there, as expected. Some State fans also

stayed there. I got into the elevator with a State couple, and a female UMD fan. I tried to be nice

with her, and greeted her very cordially. Something of the sort, "It's gonna be a good game today

don't you think? Have you ever been to a game here?" She responds with, "Yeah I was here for last

years game. The State fans were very rude." She said something else in a real smartalic tone, but I

forgot it. I still was nice to her though as she got off of the elevator and said, "have a good day,

and enjoy the game and Raleigh." I secretly wanted to tell her, "Well bitch why do you think they

were ugly to you. Your team behaved like assholes from before the start of the pregame ceremonies

to the end. Then your fans have the nerve to act like assholes after the game and start fights and

set some girls couch on fire." The State couple and I looked at each other and just laughed. The

man then basically restated what I was thinking, but in more of a toned down version. Reason #262

why I hate Maryland.
