Some scientists in England (IIRC) declared a couple weeks ago they were working on creating a rabbit-human hybrid. That's what sparked this whole hybrid controversy.

i recently spoke with a professor who said it could mean "no creation of transgenic bacteria that express human genes" which is pretty terrifying.

They can use this to grow human organs like lungs and livers inside of pigs so that you can transplant them into the human and not have to wait for an organ donor.
