I was just wondering what power schemes you guys used for your notebooks. Especially if it is your main computer and is always on.
I used to leave mine in the Always On state with password resume and i had some issues with my hd not responding on resume or just stopping period. It finally fried out and i had to get a new one put in and i just got it back this weekend.
So i was wondering what you guys used and/or what is best to keep everything running smoothly

-Always on if plugged in. -5 min monitor, always leave hd running, 15 min hibernate if unplugged. -Close lid does nothing, power/sleep buttons hibernate.
Never had any problems or HD slughishness with this. 2/5/2006 10:05:21 PM |

if plugged in: always on (monitor turn off after 5min) if runnin on battery: minimal power management (turn off monitor after 5min, system standby after 10min)
closing lid does nothing under any power scheme. use the same power settings with this laptop like i did with my old one and never have/had any problems. 2/5/2006 11:02:09 PM |
