attendance doesn't directly affect your grade right? so i can miss as many classes as i want and still do well on the webassigns and get an A. I have only been to 1 class so far this semester but i've been making As on all the homework i just wanted to make sure there wasn't some attendance thing i was missing where a certain number of absences would fail me. 2/7/2006 8:04:56 PM |

you do have a syllabus? Probably you'll loose the option of dropping your lowest test or something like that. 2/7/2006 8:31:59 PM |

yea the syllabus says go by the attendance policy of the university but it also says attendance doesn't directly affect your grade. There are no tests or exams just webassigns for homework. I'm just trying to make sure i'm not missing something here...i'd hate to find out come may that i didn't pass cause an attendance oversight. 2/7/2006 8:41:15 PM |

^how would that conversation go... Hi I never come to class because your lectures are boring and unecessary, is that ok?
I think I understand why the question is asked here. I'm not sure what the "official university policy" is except that it allows for "excused absenses" which is not an issue for you if your syllabus says "attendance doesn't directly affect your grade." that ought to trump any other university wide regulation. 2/7/2006 10:22:42 PM |
