These cats are really really adorable. They are calicos. You can have one or both of them. They are strays and we have given them all of their shots.

it's very unlikely that i'll be getting one. i rescued a cat from an old roommate and he and i have a mutal understanding of tolerence but he's just not my kind of cat. He ignores me all the time until i try and get into bed and then he decides to knead my blankets on top of me for like 15 minutes purring up a storm. I've been contemplating giving him back because i'd like a new kitten but that makes me a horrible person so i should just keep him and learn to deal.

There's a really high probability that the cats are female since they are calicos. Rarely, a male calico is born. Usually a male cat will either have the orange (and sometimes white) color gene or the black (and sometimes white) color gene.

He is jealous of your kitten. He needs a buddy more his age. When he gets in the bed with you, rub him A LOT and he should eventually get over it-positive reinforcement. We had a cat like that once, but you'd never be able to tell it now.
