Tennessee is the only team between us and Greensboro for the first two rounds of the NCAA's. State's right around a 4 seed right now. Tennessee is a 2 or 3. We need them to lose several and hope State can win out or just lose one to move ahead of Tennessee. Otherwise, State is looking at Jacksonville or even San Diego. Simply meant the too much rides on the shoulders of Clifton 's shooting. They simply don't have the inside game to open him up if a defense closes on him tight. It hasn't been an issue so far but they haven't exactly played too many tough teams here recently. WHen they lose in the tourney I have a feeling it will probably be losing big simply because its all or nothing for the vols.

first of all, I assume you mean Chris Lofton... I dont know who Clifton is. Second, the last few games he has gone off, but for the most part they are a very balanced team with Lofton, Watson, Bradshaw, Smith, Patteron, and Wingate spreading it around. For a while there they went something like 7 games in a row with a different top scorer. Third, they have one of the hardest schedules in the country, I think it is #22 SOS and they are currently #3 in the RPI.

The one thing they dont have is a big inside game. A team with good big men could fuck them up, but they can run with just about anyone.

the coach of the Richmond team they lost to is now the current coach at WVU. The odds are slim for Tennessee getting matched up against a 14th seed coach with that much talent.

yup, always cheered for both UT football and UT basketball, was at every damn game when I was in school there, football and basketball. Loved Jerry Green, fucking hated Buzz Peterson so yeah, it was hard to cheer for them too much the last few years with that clown there. There is a difference between being a realist and a bandwagon fan... first of all I dont know if you can be considered a bandwagon fan if you actually went to school there unless you are one of those weird fuckers that hates your school for some odd reason...BUT, I do admit that UT has been pretty much horrible in bball for a long time aside from a few good years under Green but that didnt stop me from being a fan. I am not one of those idiots that claim my team is the shit when they are 14-17. If they suck, I'll say they suck, if they kickass, I'll say they kickass, neither one means I am less of a fan. Just so happens that they are having a pretty damn good year under a new coach who is getting quality results about 3 years ahead of schedule.

^ South Carolina lost two years in a row in the first round. Once as a #2 seed and once as a #3 seed.



Richmond was the first ever #15 seed to win as they beat #2 Syracuse in the '91 tournament.

I believe they also made the Sweet 16 beating the #10 seed (Seton Hall? dont remember too long ago) in the next round.
