Did anyone get the TMY2 data set to work for them?

I also couldn't get the first program he sent out to output anything, just a random file that my computer wont read for some reason.

he emailed instructions for the TMY2 data. You download it, open it with Excel, and click on the columns that the web page tells you to. I would suggest inserting an extra column above the data and typing the labels from the web page instructions. just for the first 10 sections or so, cuz that's all you need

the first program:
click on the Excel csv output checkbox, and then the output will be some file. rename the extension of the file to .csv (comma separated values), which you can open in Excel

Is anyone not worried about this test coming up on monday?

I figured most of the class is doing somewhat poorly because of all the stupid, bullshit markoffs on hw that we were never taught how to do (amazingly nothing is really learned in a 2+ hour class.)

At any rate, anybody want to study for this test?

How can you make a test that is 3 hours long with a part taken out and a part of it to take home?
