its not going to have stereo headphones? most phones with media players have stereo output.
not only can you use stereo headphones, it has stereo speakers

id rather have something other than itunes (i have wmp on my phone) but i like the ability to play music on my phone

the endgaget was a very early review, so i wouldn't really be susprised if motorola realized it was a dumb idea and included a headphone jack. i cant find a conclusive answer on google.

is it a 2.5mm jack? thats what mine has with an extra part for the call connect button. you can get an adapter and use whatever you want, but the headphones that came with it work fine.

I've got the phone.

With the RAZR closed, the SLVR is thinner and narrower. The SLVR is about 2cm longer.

The only jack it has is a mini-USB jack. They provide a mini-USB to headphone jack adapter, mini-USB stereo headphones with microphone and call-answer button, a mini-USB to USB PC adapter, and a mini-USB charger. The phone also came with a 512mb mini-SD card.

The reports of a built in stereo speaker are erroneous. The built-in speaker is mono, but sounds pretty decent considering the size and form factor.

Nope. But the phone has it's built in video player/recorder. Pretty lame. You can get a pretty decent amount of cool software for the phone, including multimedia apps.

I've been considering whether or not I want the iTunes player or some other player. You can find firmware for both.

its probably like my W800i which has a propritary stereo headphone jack.

but my w800i also came with stereo RCA cables to hook it up to a receiver. and a 1gb Duo.

When I get home, I'll try to remember and take some pictures for you guys. All the Motorola pictures have no context or background so you can't get a feel for size. They'll give you a better idea for dimensions. Take a business card and add about 2cm to the length. That is nearly the exact size.

lol, of course not! GSM companies must rely on pretty phones with useless features to get customers, while CDMA companies rely on the fact that their network is pretty much everywhere and is reliable when you're more than 10 feet from a tower...you'll see the SLVR there by fall, though

i suppose it depends on how long you've had the contract...if your first contract is up, then they will renew you on a new plan and it'll cost you the same as if you were a new customer (what is that, $200 with a 2-year contract?)...i know alltel gives you no-contract 50% discounts on new phones if you've been a customer for over 2 years, but i don't know about cingular
