Ok...im a tad confused about something. I have to take GN 411 and BCH 451.....both of these classes have labs associated with them (GN 412 and BCH452)...however, my list of degree requirements (As well as the requirements for pre-vet admissions) do not say anything about having to take the lab (where as they do with other classes like ZO and CH)....so are they infact required to take??

I know in my major (Biology) the BCH 452 lab is not required. I had to take the GN 412 lab though. You might want to check with which vet. schools you plan to apply to. I am currently taking BCH 452 for a vet. school requirement even though my major does not require it. 2/22/2006 5:14:32 PM |

When the lab and the class are listed under two different course numbers, they will be listed as two separate classes on your degree audit requirements. If the lab isn't there, it's probably not required, but ask your advisor. Checking grad school/pre-vet requirements is a good idea, and make sure you check any relavant minors too (esp. genetics). I had to take both for Microbiology and they were listed separately on the degree audit. 2/26/2006 11:49:40 PM |

Avoid taking GN 412 if you can, it really sucks. 2/27/2006 7:10:32 PM |
