I don't think that teen violence is anything 'unusual' or 'new.' I think that it really probably is the media exposure that these incidents now get. Once upon a time, we wouldn't have ever heard about something as trivial as a murder in the mid-west. Not only that, a lot of crimes use to go unsolved because of the lack of technology we had just 20 years ago. Some of the Cold Case murders I have seen solved on A&E are teen violence crimes that just could not be solved with the level of technology that they had prior to the 90s.

*shrugs* Just a thought.

Must have been a slow newsday - Perlith is right, murders happen all the time. Why do we suddenly hear about this one like it's all special and shit?

Just to clarify - when someone says things like this, they mean no disrespect to the people involved. We should wonder about these things regardless of whether we're shocked and feel sympathy or not.

Actually Gina took a razor out of her mouth in the school cafeteria and slashed up Tina's face so badly that she needed over 100 stitches.
