That's the problem.

We state fans are compelled to feel like we deserve something. Deserve what?

If we have a winning season, next thing you know, people start spouting off predictions of winning a championship. A lot of people have ludicrous expectations for a team.

Don't care about what a team's record could be or should be. Care about what it actually is.

^^don't mistake my position for yours. You're are a loser herb supporter who thinks we shouldn't aspire for better. The rest of us see that we are good enough to do better, but a couple of recurring, fixable problems continually stymie us.

^^Yeah, I've said it once and I'll say it again. Its games like these last two that keep the fans at home. I like college basketball too much to follow through like other people do, but damn if I would pay for a seat to a State game after seeing this bullshit.

He's wasted in this "system". I honestly feel bad for athletic kids...especially big men... who come into this offense. Thats terrible to say, but it's the truth.

We've only continually improved over the last five years. Believe me, if we were looking at the NIT like ol' Prosser at Wake, I'd be crying out to "fire Herb"

People are still looking at the big picture with higher expectations....WHEN WE'VE EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS! Good God, we weren't supposed to be this good because we lost Hodge! All of a sudden, we get off to the best start since '73, and we lost back to back (for the first time this season...THIS far into the season, mind you) and we're back to the ol' bandwagon.

I'm a "loser" and I support Herb because we've gotten better. We've been in the Top 25 practically all year for the first time in...I don't remember. We're top 4 in the ACC.

I expect us to do well this season. Definitely get past the first round of the tourney. Maybe get back to the Sweet 16. And I expect us to do well again next year

^^^exactly. If I were a good player with a brain, I wouldn't come to NCSU. Very few of our players have developed their skills or reputation over their tenures, here. I'm actually impressed that Herb is consistently able to pull in the talent.

I think he would make a great assistant coach.

The only players I can think of that got tremendously better under Herb are Anthony Grundy and Marcus Melvin.


Melvin, however, still wasn't developed for his size. He thought he was a shooting guard upon his graduation.

Naw, the rankings are about right. We shouldn't be that high, but we're definitely top 25 talent. And if you look at the whole season, you'd see that we've only been losing games over the last week and a half.

The only bad loss we've had this year was Seton Hall. We haven't played well before we went on our "losing streak", but when you can still win, who cares about how good or bad you play?

Top 25 team? Highly doubtful....we were at the beginning of the year.... until other coaches developed their young talent, while we didn't improve, and surpassed us
