http://cgi.ebay.com/4-ACC-TOURNAMENT-TICKETS_W0QQitemZ6609502834QQcategoryZ1307QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
I emailed a guy earlier that was also in GB...he said he would sell the tickets to me for cheap I just had to western union $$$ to him...so about a million alarms went off in my head at the same time:
1. Western Union only sounds fishy 2. These auctions aren't thru ebay when you send it straight to them 3. He asked for a scanned copy of my passport...which I don't even have one 4. the Great Britian price seems fishy 5. selling ACC tournament tickets for less than face is un heard of.

i avoid purchasing outside of winning the ebay bid when it's out of the country as a general rule to not get ripped off - little to no legal recourse if you do 2/28/2006 4:28:36 PM |

That'd probably be the best thing to do...or have him take a picture with the tickets with a quarter or some object on them so you know the tickets are real...2/28/2006 4:37:32 PM |

That's total BS. Western Union, please. Send him a message and ask him if he wants your entire checkbook, with a few signed blank checks. Let me also let you guys in on a little secret. People high up enough in their respective schools booster clubs do not need a few extra bucks. So this is either not the original owner (he may have been given them, but I'll bet he acquired them shadily) or he may have won them in one of these sweepstakes (very unlikley). Either way, I've seen plenty of tickets go for sale on Ebay, all have pic's. And the passport thing, you can't make this type of entertainment up! 2/28/2006 5:45:42 PM |
