to see in our NCAA tournament bracket? i am only listing teams that I think would be seeded higher than us

3. UNC (don't know if this would ever happen anyway)

There are only about 5 or 6 teams in the country that I'd say we cant beat on any given night, and thats even pushing it. RIGHT NOW, there are about 30 teams I wouldnt want to play. But assuming we get our shit together in the next week and a half, there's no reason to think we cant beat any 3 seed out there.

UCONN, Villanova, and UNC are the only teams I would say we CANT beat.

we can beat anyone... but only if we are "on" from the 3 point line, can rebound, don't play gavin grant, Herb lets Amato coach and play like we give a shit.

nova (bc we dont play good against teams with good guards)
unc (self explanitory)
uconn (size/rebounding)
kansas (good athletic young team)
texas (size/rebounding)

other than those 4, i think that we could hang with anyone if we get off this slump.

Mich state is extremely overrated

haha i still think the team is good. i was just responding to the question asked in the thread. look at it this way. at the ABSOLUTE worst, we finish out the season 21-10, the same record we ended up with 2 years ago when we finished 2nd in the ACC. now obviously that would mean we lose in the first round of both tournaments, neither of which i think will happen.

more likely, we beat wake, win our first acc tourney game, and lose to duke in round 2. then we're 23-8 heading into the ncaa tournament. i really couldn't guess how far we'll go into that without the brackets being set, but no matter what happens you can't say this has been a bad season.

not that we are a great NCAA tourney team, but i do think, as always, we will pose a significant challenge to the saturday/sunday opponent if we make it to the second round.

we arent unstoppable (by any means), but we are very tough to prepare for, especially when we run alot of the backdoor passes (which we seem to have gotten away from a little this season).

You are right, there are many teams that we dont want to face, but if we can get our asses together vs. Wake and have a solid showing in the ACC tourney....

opponents wont be standing in line to play us either.
