I recently got a meat grinder for my kitchenaid mixer and have decided I wanted to made homemade suasage but I cant find casing to do so anywhere. Ive looked in several grocery stores as well as an italian market and the fresh market. Online Ive only manged to find websites that will sell 100lbs worth and I really doubt that Ill be able to use that much before it goes bad.
Without any jokes on condoms and the sort, does anyone know where I can find sausage casings? 3/6/2006 11:01:50 AM |

^ Oh yeah, I asked the butchers in all the stores I went to and none of them knew...
And a yellow pages search of butchers in Raleigh came up nothing.

Whole Foods should sell them to you - I know they pack their own sausages (LOL!!1) in the meat dept.
Whether or not they're publically available, you could possibly sweet-talk them into selling you a few on the side. 3/6/2006 11:30:33 AM |
