lol, that poor ranger caught so much hell. it's got those white trailer rims on the front because the originals were bent/damaged from other landings and shenanigans
tkeaton needs to post the vid. i don't think he'd care now that it's been so many years, and lives/works in sc.

haha, I did that years and years ago in Charlotte at the intersection of Elm and Ballantyne Commons Pkwy late at night. I went over Elm on BCP going around 58 or so making a yellow light, and noticed how the car felt very light going over the natural hump in the road.
Since it was around 230am I decided to turn around and try doing it again, going faster. Turns out the magic speed for leaving the ground was around 70mph. I did it 3 times and was going back for a 4th when I saw a cop drive by on Elm. So instead of turning around I went home
The best part about that jump was that b/c of the shape of the hump in the road it made for a smooth take off and smooth landing 3/6/2006 11:20:03 PM |

I did that at a RR crossing in rural JoCo in my Trooper. Hit my head on the ceiling... 3/6/2006 11:35:06 PM |

i won't disclose the location, icanread or tkeaton can if they want to since they were there. the main "launch" area is to the left of the pic.
the guy driving was kind of weird about it ever getting out in public. i don't think it would be a big deal to him now, but i'll keep quiet just in case. 3/6/2006 11:40:07 PM |

The traintracks at the Morrisville Pkwy were set up for a nice takeoff and smooth landing until three or four years ago. I could hold the curve at around 45 MPH and hit 60 on the straight before the jump to get a nice lift. The landing was just the right downward angle to land smooth on all four tires. Twas fun if anyone remembers it. 3/7/2006 12:23:36 AM |

yup, i remember those. tracks that cross the road beside waffle house used to be fun also back in the day before they fixed them and there was less traffic through there. 3/7/2006 12:25:45 AM |

i use to do that shit at that very intersection all the time in high school in the jeep. as soon as i would turn out of the target parking lot i would gun it all the way through the intersection. the best attempt involved everything in the cup holders floating up about eight inches then crashing back to its respective places. i always felt like i was entertaining the masses at the intersection waiting for the light.3/7/2006 3:01:06 AM |

I did shit like that all the time in my sidekick. My girlfriend actually encouraged me. Saw a cop coming on my 3rd run over by the bowling alley in cary so I went home. I think I went 40+k in that car without adding or changing oil or coolant. 3/7/2006 10:23:25 AM |
