Why do we not do it, should we, like so many sports and conferences do it? whatdya think? Fair to the teams and the fans or does the neutral location even the field? Fans from 12 teams vying (sp) for a spot in the same venue, is that fair? Plz to share your thoughts, k, thx.

the way it is now, everyone knows over a year in advance where the tourney is gonna be held. people can make plans to be there way ahead of time. it's hard to make that happen when you don't know where the games are going to be played ahead of time.

i realize that it's quite possible to do this (see other conference tournaments, professional sports playoffs), but as ParksNrec said, it works fine the way we do it now.

plus, there's a good chance that 90% of the time the #1 seed will be either UNC or Duke. do you really want to eliminate ANY chance whatsoever of someone preventing one of these teams from winning the tournament every year?

especially when teams like ncsu have to share their arenas with other teams.

I'm not a proponent of one or the other, I just thought it was worth discussion since SO many sport, events use it.

STUPID!

Imagine having 12 other schools' fans trying to fit into Cameron every for the ACC tournament. This would never happen! There's just too much money tied up in the event to limit the seats to the size of Cameron.

Yeah no way the ACC could be held in an arena that holds 8000 like Littlejohn or Cassell or Cameron.

Tickets are hard enough to get as it is. I think it should be as neutral as possible.

I wasn't thinking that the high seed should have it every year, but it might be interesting if they decided to rotate it around the 12 host sites. Of course, there's the same argument about how many people could attend - how many donors would be PISSED if it was hosted up at VT? Each school could only send 300-500 people then.

Pay attention dumbass. I wasn't suggesting that the single highest-ranked school have the home court for all games, but the possibility that a 9 seed would have home against a 7.

There would be many venues with many games so STFU and GTFO.

^ that would be a scheduling nightmare.. especially with the multi-team venues such as the RBC Center.. not to mention you would have to spread out the games of the tournament.. less than a day of travel isn't enough for teams.

Why in the world would a 9 seed ever have a home game playing a 7 seed??

Excuse me on that, I meant the reverse.

I hope you were smart enough to figure that out since you learned to turn your computer on. And good luck with a mistake-free life!
