4, no breaks. A BS, 2 minors, and a *lot* of extra courses (because I planned poorly).

Degree: B.S.
Major: Business Management (concentration in Operations/Supply Chain)
Minor: *are you kidding me?*
Total time: 3 Years exactly. Zero breaks (took courses every semester & every summer). Also, I was on a full-time co-op (40 hrs./week) for 8-months during those three years but took courses online to fill the gap.

Reason: I'm ready for a paycheck and I'm tired of being engaged. After 5 years w/ the same wonderful woman, I want my wedding band!

EDIT: Going for the MBA here soon as well...

4 years for a double major math/physics to get my B.S. Then straight to grad school.

Should be five and half years to get my Phd--which will happen by the end of this year. If I'm not done by the end of this year, fuck it, I'll go be a yak herder in Tibet or something. I'm so tired of this crap.

LOLERS, LIGHTEN THE LOAD FOR A MICRO DEGREE

ie, did it to take 14-15 hours during the semester instead of 17-18 hours. You must be an engineering student.

By the way, a micro degree is not as easy to finish as you think.

Degree: BS
Major: Political Science
Minor Well, I didn't have a minor, but that's just because they don't give engineering minors at the Naval Academy
Total time: 4years (avg of 18 hours a semester ~ 6 classes + labs + PE (yes, we had to take PE all four years)

Yeah, I didn't go to NCSU, but my bro did. Spent so much time in Raleigh when I was stationed in Norfolk that I should have paid rent at his place. At least I saw the light and renounced my Duke allegiance (mom and dad went there).

for the people that took 6yrs or more to get a BA or BS - how did you guys play that off to your parents/friends that you weren't just a complete slacker or did you apologize a lot - assuming you didn't take semesters off to co-op - i'm talking about the people that were enrolled for at least 11 fall/spring semesters of classes
