Project Gutenberg has 17000 public domain e-books for free. You can download ISO images or request a CD/DVD. Thanks adidas7dj, ssjmichael & Anonymouse.

I use the .txt files a lot when studying or typing papers just to ctrl + f to the quote that I want. It's convenient.
