how much longer can amato stay if our football program continues the way it has the past two seasons? i think that fowler has a soft spot for herb but i don't think he feels the same way about amato, but even when herb is losing, ncsu basketball >>>>>>> ncsu football. At least in basketball we stayed in the top 25 all year and i don't ever see that happening in football.

Amato had one and a half bad seasons(after enough OK seasons). If his upward trend continues, he'll be fine. If we lose 5 or more games next year, he's on the hot seat.

I Fucking hate Chuck Amato, he is the most pompus jackass. He also is a mediocre coach at best and can't hold a candle to fat ass John Bunting. It is too bad that we have more talent then UNC every year and can't beat them, unlike basketball when we are out gunned every year. I also support Herb, the third best coach in the ACC > The worst coach in the ACC, right behind Ted Roof.

I have no idea what to expect this year...

We lose a ton of experienced players on defense, but we do have a lot of (so far unproven) talent to replace them. Could go either way. I mean, it definitely won't be as good as the defense we had the last couple of years, but it could still be pretty good.

The O-line should be vastly improved. Stone will have the benefit of spring practice as the starter; he managed to improve a lot during last season. If he ends up not improving by halfway through the season or so, Burke will have had some practice time at that point. We know the backs are solid, and I think we'll be okay with wideouts and TE.

So Chuck has a lot to work with this year, and basically no expectations from the press.

It's time to see what he can do.
