A replacement Northstar can't be cheap, but I'd imagine someone could end up with a fine automobile for under $5k doing it this way. Good luck with the sale.

These are nice cars, but boats. My grandma has one.
The engine is about $4200 for a 'new' one.

yea we know
thats why he bought a new truck

with a good engine in it (before this one went) it was worth like 8000 -10,000
i cant tell you what he did to it but it was damn fast.

if someone knew what they were doing and had the money and skill/time to drop a new or used engine in it it would make someone a nice car

or if someone had this identical car with some body damage but a running engine, it would make a great spare part car (or drop that engine in this body).
cadillac parts are ridicously expensive to replace. and this body is mint.

oh and he's got an expensive system in it. i'll get the specs and post em. he wants to sell that too

^^

there is a bearing loose around a piston inside the engine block
is what he was told by a mechanic

but the engine hasn't been taken apart and looked at to find the exact problem.

you can find a decent used northstar engine for around $2000 and the car will run great for another 100,000 miles

it comes with the bose interior speaker system.

a subwoofer system is available for sale as wellSOLD SEPERATELY)
*2 Rocksford Fosgate 12 inch subs (still have 2 year warranty left)
*1800 watt Fosgate Amp (still have 2 year warranty left)
*custom made carpeted box with speakers already installed in it
*the wiring can be pulled out of the caddy if someone wants it.
retails for/what he paid ~ $1200 for everything
Would like to get $700 for entire system
