I plan on taking ENG 208 over the summer and I would really like to know what will be on the reading list now so I can get a head start - over the summer most of my time will be spent working, and I'm worried about getting everything read when I will go to the class every day.
Does the reading list vary from professor to professor? If the reading list stays pretty much the same, can anybody tell me what you normally have to read for this class?
Thanks! 3/13/2006 2:10:55 PM |

I had Stamper last summer and it was an enjoyable class. He is a pretty tough grader and requires a lot of work but he made it interesting. The reading list we had was:
Song of Solomon - Toni Morrison The Awakening - Kate Chopin The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn - Mark Twain Catcher in the Rye - J.D. Salinger
We also had a book of short stories that we read out of some but it was mainly those novels. 3/14/2006 3:41:22 PM |

Yeah those don't sound bad at all!
I'm taking this class plus one more over the summer and I don't want to fall behind on the reading, since I've heard you have to read a TON and quickly when you take it as a summer class. 3/15/2006 11:47:43 AM |
