Putting this in the correct forum, forgot about "tech talk" the first time http://www.thewolfweb.com/message_topic.aspx?topic=393717
I bought a 64MB SD memory card for my Canon Elph SD400 digital camera at a specialty store in the Orlando airport before my trip... and yes, grossly overpaid
Here's what happened with it though: 1) Took about 10 pictures yesterday with no problem, looked through them a once or twice. 2) <Here's where the problems begin> I look through the picture and 1 says "corrupted data" and only showed a smaller thumbnail of the original pic. 3) Next time it's turned on it says "No pictures". (Now they've all disappeared) So I decided to leave it alone. 4) Turn it back on a while later and now it says "Memory Card Error"
What's goin on? So I put it in my computer thinking my camera may have just been having a problem and my computer said that the card is unformatted and formatting it will erase all data. The card was working fine the first few times I used it (ie: when I took those first 10 pictures or so). Any suggestions? Does anyone know if those pictures I took would still be there somewhere?
And yes, I'm going to call the store and ask for a refund because of defective merchandise.
Just wanted to see if anyone else has ever had a problem with a memory card not working right after purchase. 3/13/2006 5:28:37 PM |
