All Ive been hearing is that this kid is good and respectful for the most part. I hope this is just a rare instance. That's one thing you have to respect about Herb is the quality in the guys he recruits.

^X6 one of the articles made it seem like it was a real personal thing, like they knew the guy for awhile. his uncle is a fellow ref, so he might take it real serious when another ref is picking on players, especially his nephew. i don't really see it being like Damien Wilkins" situations. people say he's a fine young man, and was raised well. my parents tended to stay out of things and let me handle things when i was playing hockey. they didn't get all riled up or anything. one time though we went to a game in Alabama, and i didn't even play (i was one of the better and smarter players on the team too). they were pissed off b/c they spent the money to travel and see their kid play, and that didn't happen. they confronted my coach, who i had been coached by since i was a little kid (age 5 or 6), and was a good friend. they weren't violent or anything, but they pretty much told him off. parents don't like to see their kid messed with, whether it be a coach or a ref. i would like to see the ref that has it out for Bennerman get punched. Bennerman had a clean block in the game in Chapel Hill and he called a foul, and then stared down Cam waiting for him to say something. that's just not right.
