I saw one do the same thing about a month ago at the day care at the end of trailwood. Had 5 or six other cop cars there just looking and probably giving that officer hell.

I saw an episode of cops this week:

Cop was chasing this kid on a dirtbike for some reason. He tried to jump some railroad rails and busted his tires. As he tried to get it free he ended up just bottoming out on the rails. His "backup" arrived just in time to see a train coming. When that train veered onto a turnoff another train approached from the other direction. By that time a half dozen other cops were there, laughing their ass off at him.

crown vics are ~18ft in length so it probably is close to a 15ft drop. either way, i wouldn't suggest driving a car over the ledge.
