(10) North Carolina State over (7) California
Take a good, hard look at the Golden Bears' resume. Ben Braun's club beat Arizona, UCLA and Washington — but also lost to the Wildcats, Bruins (twice) and Huskies. In early January, forward Leon Powe (20.7 ppg, 10.0 rpg) and guard Ayinde Ubaka (14.8 ppg, 3.8 apg) fell at home to hapless Oregon State. In mid-February, California lost at home to Arizona State. Herb Sendek's Wolfpack, losers of four in a row, could not have reasonably expected an easier first-round draw. The Golden Bears are no better than average defenders on the perimeter. The Wolfpack, on the other hand, are among the nation's 10 most accurate 3-point shooters.

Quote :
"(9) Bucknell over (8) Arkansas

The "last amateurs" have gone professional. After upsetting Kansas in the NCAA tournament last year, Pat Flannery's club won at Syracuse in the regular season. Balanced and experienced, the Bison count on center Chris McNaughton (12.9 ppg, 4.6 rpg), forward Charles Lee (12.9 ppg, 6.1 rpg) and guard Kevin Bettencourt (12.6 ppg, 2.9 apg).

While Arkansas' shooting leaves much to be desired, Bucknell's defense is among the nation's most efficient, allowing few points per possession. The kicker? Lower-profile foes often bust brackets when shooting well from behind the arc — and Arkansas is among the nation's 35 worst defensive clubs on the perimeter. Stan Heath's Razorbacks allow opponents to convert on 38.1 percent of 3-point attempts. "

That list is shit, plus, it's ordered in order of most likely to least likely.

So we're the least likely "upset" on the 10 list that includes a 16 seed over a 1? Total and utter bullshit.

I don't think anyone seriously expects us to lose the first game.

God, nothing in the past four years would compare to the total fan uproar that would come from a loss to Cal.
