A friend of mine just bought a new one, but soon after, his dad gave him one.

So my friend is selling the mower his dad gave him, not the brand new one.

It's only 2 seasons old.

Used privately, not commercially. (used every week or so, not every day…….)

More details to come.....

(He is not going to sell it for cheap--it cost well over a grand new, and is very lightly used.)

He won't get anywhere near a grand on TWW...probably not even $500.

OK look, we all know that TWW isn't the best place to sell stuff for it's actual value, but what the hell made you think, even for a second, that anyone in their right mind would sell a practically new riding mower for $50?
Are you fucking bat-shit crazy? Or do you think my friend must be?

I realize you may just be bidding low with the intention of using that low bid to later "haggle", but sorry, I am not even considering a $50 bid to be serious. (With that said, I'm sure that now many of you will bid less than 50…...)

Also, he's gonna post in craigslist and a few other classifieds.... I doubt that any t'dubers will actually end up buying this......but in the small chance that one of you actually wants a riding mower, (IOW, was already planning on buying one,) here's your chance to get it for less than anywhere else.

I mean, shit…..I did a quick Google search for used riding mower ads, and found these numbers:

$750
$325 (10 years old!)
$700
$475
$575 (Craftsman)
$900 (7 years old!)
$1500
$600
$950

READ: you will not buy this riding mower for cheap.

BTW, he is in no hurry to sell this.
.....more details to come.....

(The reserve bid has not been met......not even close.)

in order:

1.) you never know what kind of people sell on here...he could be a heroin addict and needs whatever cash he can get to fuel his addiction...i'll bid low and hope...what's the worst that can happen?

2.) sometimes, yes

3.) as a friend of yours, probably

that said...i go $76

Well hempster..
Seems to me that if you hate the lowball bids, then perhaps you should stop saying how much more the mower is worth and start giving an actual dollar amount that you are looking for.

Oh..BTW...before you even start whining about you do not know what he wants...then maybe next time you should wait until you get all the details to post.

I'm pretty sure this is it:

Craftsman 18.5 hp 42 in. Deck Lawn Tractor
model #27641
-- 18.5 hp B/S IC OHV engine
-- 42 in. vented deck
-- 6-speed transaxle (shift-on-the-go)
-- Fender shift (for added convenience)
-- Tight 18" turning radius (for trimming close)
-- 11 Gauge full length steel frame (for durability)
-- 1.25 gallon fuel tank
-- 18 x 9.50 turf saver rear tires (help keep the tractor from damaging the lawn)

....oh yeah, and a new battery

I think I saw this mower as a close-out sale at Sears 2 night ago for $890. Since it is used, I may be interested in this mower for $400. PM to let me know.
