It is a class for undergraduate research based upon whatever the student/group of students is doing. For example, myself and some classmates were interested in high powered rocketry, but there is hardly any curriculum on rockets in the AE courseload, so we came up with a few ideas of some research we could do and presented it to a few of the professors. 495M is a manufacturing processes course that was added last fall. I know some people who took it and liked it, but I can't tell you much other than that. This specific class is not research, its just a class that is too new to have its own number yet. What Wraith is referring to is 495 courses are typically group research/special topics, and 496 refers to individual undergraduate research. 3/19/2006 10:14:45 PM |

I took it last semester and thought it was very practical. it teaches manufacturing process, tests were closed book, notes, but he grades easier than u think. gotta study review sheet.. kinda memorize them.. plant tour at the end of semester. 3/20/2006 6:03:32 PM |
