has anybody else been having random laser detections from your radar detector?? ive got an Escort 8500 that has been detecting random laser signals the past 2 days with no signs of police. a few times over around carter finley and a couple of times around lake wheeler/tryon area. my dad said hes been having the same thing goin on.

yes, as with any business or bank with motion detectors. but thats only the short range K band that has a wide cone. the only times I have had laser detection has been down in florida. ive heard that a few troopers up here have laser speed guns.

newer traffic lights are using laser sensors inatead of magnetic, look for the little thing that kinda looks like a camera on the pole or crossbar

Even if automatic doors used lasers, why would it be pointed towards the street? One of the main advantages of using laser is the precise accuracy.
