Thought this was a good read on what some opinions about the hire are:

Only goes to illustrate how stupid a metric this is for judging success in college.4/5/2006 12:47:05 PM |

it's a great measurement for a coach. what talented athlete would want to play for a coach who squanders talent? Our one draft pick isn't even in the NBA right now, yet 2 players that transferred away due to bad coaching are both currently playing in the NBA. 4/5/2006 12:50:07 PM |

...and who would those two be?
Adam Harrington who hasn't played since the '04 season (and only played in about 40 games in his NBA career anyways) and Damien Wilkins who was told by Sendek not to return to the team after having to put up with a piece of shit father/uncle.
yeah, bad coaching had a lot to do with those fuckers4/5/2006 2:33:33 PM |

so I guess he forgot Josh Powell and Anthony Grundy
I remember Josh leaving early to go pro(tried to) and Anthony graduating 4/5/2006 2:45:38 PM |

Herb coached 5 NBA'ers for at least 2 seasons each
2 transferred 1 left early and got undrafted (but was #1 overall pick in the CBA) 1 worked his ass off and is now playing considerable minutes 1 was drafted 1st round
so the article is technically right...only 1 drafted player in 10 years 4/5/2006 2:53:01 PM |
