what makes you guys think he'll hit over 130 RBIs? he's never hit over 130 in his career and in the past 3 seasons he barely hit 120

having that said:

.328 BA
44 HR
122 RBI
130 R

I think this will be his best year as long as Edmonds and Scott stay healthy so people don't pitch around him like last year.

BA .340
HR 52
RBI 125
OPS 1.190
SB 15
Runs 110

And wins his 1st Gold Glove barely over Derrek Lee!

Well......hope he doesn't have many 0-4 days from now on......we wouldn't want the sport fantasy geeks to commit massive suicide. HA!

Talk talk talk.......Hey buddy Zambrano is pitching tomorrow. I'm guessing Pujol's average is going to be raunchy after this weekend.

it's fun when a guy raises his BA 40 points and hits 37.5% of his HR in one day

Is there a reason why teams still pitch to him? I mean come on, 4 HRs and 1 double in his last 5 at bats.....is that not enough? I'd pitch around him to get to Bonds at this point.

Haha Ernie.

They cannot pitch around Albert because Rolen is healthy this year and can hurt you just as bad.

I said 52 HRs but I meant 100!!!!

BTTT

As of tonight:

BA .321
HR 17
RBI 41
OBP .465
SLG .821
SB 2
RUNS 33

Also he has not committed an error with a fielding % of 100 and a Range Factor (RF) of 11.88!

In other words, PUJOLS PWNS ALL!

At his current pace, if he went injury free, he would have:

83 home runs...that's right, eighty-fucking-three
176 hits
200 rbi
161 runs
157 walks (to only 46 strike outs)

Of course this is extremely unlikely, but he may be the best hitter ever. I'm serious.

game winner

26th game winning RBI of the season (leads the majors)

I know Howard will win the NL MVP, but dammit if Albert doesn't deserve it

Albert should have about 3/4 MVPs already but somebody was literally CHEATING him out of them.

awesome

I'm not too worried about the MVP this year, I'm sure Albert hasn't won the last of his career

and Howard is an exciting young player

particularly since he had been swinging the bat great before he went down

in the 15 games previous to the 15 consecutive he missed in June, he hit 6 hr and 17 rbi

so if you add up those numbers (assuming similar performance), he'd conceivably have 51 and 137 right now

Bill James was pretty damn close.

Let's do this thread next year and see if Albert can stay healthy.

I predict he will hit 61 before his career is over becoming the all-time leader without the *.
