actually, one thing said was that a lot of the coaches they are looking at have been really impressed with the way he stood up for Sendeck. I have no beef with Lee. 4/8/2006 12:43:51 PM |

Paraphrased:
Shea: How long do you see yourself in Pittsburgh? Are you taking it year by year?
Cowher: Yeah, I think so. It's nice to be around my family, but next year we're down to one kid in the house. Pretty soon they'll all be moved out.
Shea: Everyone talks about the Cowher scowl and your intensity. Do you ever see that leaving?
Cowher: No, I'm too competitive. I love competition. I think I'll always have this intensity, and I love being challenged.

I don't think it's all that unlikely. At least a handful of years from now, anyway. 4/8/2006 1:02:31 PM |

Man, Bill Cowher is the type of guy that could walk in just about ANY school and say "I want to coach here" and get hired. USC and Texas might think for like 2 seconds about it before saying "Yes".
I always been amazed at how every year no matter what talent he has he find a way to win games. 4/8/2006 4:59:16 PM |

That's if he ever wanted too, Cowher is the longest running current NFL coach. When we were looking for a replacement for O'Cain his name had been brought up then. At the time many felt he was close to the chopping block with the Steelers yet he remain committed to them and said he was uniterested with the open position at State but would assisist finding a new coach. Now that he has his championship he might be locked in Steeltown for quite sometime.
