Use TWW Search. Goodwill: $10 for $200-$700 suits in good condition.Btw, you mean cheap as in cheesy/tacky, or cheap as in low $texas to spend?[Edited on April 21, 2006 at 7:05 AM. Reason : .]

You can get a good suit for around $300 at a brooks brothers factory store. Don't go cheaper than that or you'll likely wind up with an ill fitting suit that'll make you look like a clown.

Cheap - ($10-$30) Good WillMedium - Sears, Belks, JCPenny (There are some nice suits here)Expensive - Men's Warehouse. They have medium stuff too but the good stuff that is stain resistant etc... the type that people can spill a huge drink on and you walk away without a bit of it on you. They run around $500+.

Jos. A Banks offers a discount to nc state students.that is taken out after the sale price, so you can find a decent one for cheap if you hit one of their many sales.i got a pretty nice setup last fall.

There's a place at the flea market inside that sells suits dirt cheap (like $30). Alot of the stuff is 80's shit, but if you search you search you may be able to find something nice

Either wait for Mens Wearhouse or one of the Dept stors to have a sale.Or go to K&G Menswear on Capitol near 540.I get alot of stuff there. You can get a lesser names suit (marco Bella) suit for 99 (100% wool) and a even nicer suit (JNY/Chaps) for around 200. I bought a 3 quarters RL wool overcoat there in the winter for 99 when the same coat goes for 300 in Dept. Stores. Cheap name brand ties as well.I hate shopping at suit stores because even if u get a sweet deal on a suit, there will try to combo your ass to death with shirts, ties and shoes. Evitably, they pick some shirt tie combos i like, and u end up spending an extra 150 bucks.

http://thewolfweb.com/message_search.aspx?type=topic§ion=1&searchstring=suit&username=&usertype=match&sortby=date&sortorder=descending&page=and please don't buy a "cheap" suit. you really get what you pay for in terms of cut and quality. you can find a nice suit on sale for a reasonable price. ex. my husband just bought a ralph lauren suit that was around $800 for less than $300 at Foley's (like Dillards down here). check out jos a banks, brooks brothers, dillards, etc. just walk in and tell them that you are looking for a suit for an interview but you are a student so you need to find something affordable. they will help you find something nice that will work.

I don't know if the sale is still going on, but Express stores were having a huge sale on suits and jackets. I picked up a $200 jacket for $50 and matching pants for $30 (originally $90).[Edited on April 21, 2006 at 10:44 AM. Reason : ;]

You could buy a cheap suit and get it tailored, that's often cheaper than buying an expensive suit in the first place.

I don't know if there are any around here but I went to this place called S&K Mensmart or something like that a few years ago. It looked kind of dodgy but I got a suit for $80 and they even hemmed the trousers for me for free. It looks nice and it hasn't fallen apart or anything yet, so it was a great deal.
