Ryan Leaf should be higher, there's no way Joey Harrington should be considered worse than Leaf....

That dude from NC State - washburn
Quote : | "Chris Washburn – 3rd Overall Selection by the Golden State Warriors in 1986
Selected ahead of: Chuck Person (#4), Roy Tarpley (#7), Ron Harper (#8), Mark Price (#25), Dennis Rodman (#27)
Granted that the 1986 draft may have been the worst draft of all-time, Washburn had an absolutely horrible career that spanned three seasons and achieved a career scoring average of 3.1 points-per-game. The 2nd overall selection, Len Bias, died tragically and was slated to be one of the NBA’s brightest young talents. With Rodman’s wedding dress, Bias’s death, Tarpley’s drug addiction leading to his indefinite suspension from the NBA, the 1986 draft simply has disaster written all over it. " |
Todd Fuller gets a mention, too!
Quote : | "18. Todd Fuller, Warriors No. 11, First Round –- 1996 An Academic All-American who couldn’t put two and two together on the court, Fuller was one in a series of disappointing Golden State picks. The last selection of the ill-fated Dave Twardzik Era, Fuller was taken ahead of Steve Nash, Kobe Bryant, Peja Stojakovic, Zydrunas Ilgauskas and Jermaine O'Neal. Ouch. Fuller averaged around four points and three rebounds in five NBA seasons. " |

hell, i went to espn.com to compare Julius' stats compared to other rookies, but you need to play in 35 games to be included in those sortable lists. 4/22/2006 9:25:28 PM |

Yeah, but that's not really a huge bust. There's not really that much difference in late first rounders and second rounders, anyway 4/22/2006 9:47:39 PM |
john kruk All American 5325 Posts user info edit post |
and that's why I said he better get traded from a guard-heavy team
...and away from a coach who doesn't like him
...and away from a city where he gets shot 4/22/2006 9:50:33 PM |

if i was an nba team that had a late round pick, I'd just trade that shit for a 1st next year and hope the dumbass team that actually wants it sucks. Id then go sign a D-League player. It'd be the exact same impact, and then Id have 2 draft picks the next year that i could package for a higher one that could MAYBE make a difference 4/22/2006 9:50:37 PM |

Felton started 54 games. averaged 12ppg, 3.3 rebounds and 5.6 assists Williams averaged 25 minutes, 8.5ppg and 5 rebounds McCants averaged 17 minutes, 8 points, 2 rebounds and 2.2 fouls...and scored double digits 33 times May was averaging 8ppg and 5rpg before getting hurt
Hodge appeared in 14 games, averaged 0.9ppg, 0.4apg, 0.5rpg and shot 37% from the line
like I said before, he needs to get traded in order to avoid becoming a draft bust4/23/2006 1:49:28 AM |

^^^How does May get a pass for his injury but Hodge doesn't get a pass for multiple injuries and depth?
da Jules needs to get more done, but I'm just saying it's too early to call anyone a bust here. That's like people that called Rivers a bust his rookie year when Brees started and went to the Pro Bowl.

there only gets to be one QB on the field during the 16 games that team plays
there are 2 or 3 guards/combos on the court at all times during the 82 games that team plays

Baseball always has some good ones, even among #1 picks (some mentioned before) Brien Taylor Ben McDonald Josh Hamilton
The Mets are good at flops too, while there was Strawberry, there was also: Steve Chilcott Paul Wilson Shawn Abner Tim Foli
As for football, Tony Mandarich is the biggest bust to me. That 1989 draft was, possibly, the best of our lifetime's so far. How many SB's could the Pack had with Barry Sanders, or Derrick Thomas playing next to Reggie White?
