It's very likely that Barnes could have swayed some of his recruits to come here. I really think he could have pulled Durante with him, I read that he was more interested in playing for Barnes than he was actually going to Texas.

I had a meeting with some fraternity alumni last night, and one of the guys I talked to plays golf with Fowler every Wednesday. He said Fowler said he really thought he had Barnes in the bag.

It's somewhat funny to think how close Fowler came to being our savior, and now no matter who he gets, everyone's probably going to hate him even more.

Barnes already knew Aldridge wouldn't be returning.


And Gibson and PJ Tucker arent expected to be first round picks. Both have said they plan on returning to school if they cant get first round guarantees.

So they'll likely be back at UT.

Kevin Durant will be the 2nd best Freshman in College Bball next year to Oden.

He will have Garnett like numbers and average 25 points, 10 rebounds, 3 blocks, 2 steals a game.

Him alone will be enough to win. My guess is Tucker, Aldridge leave, Gibson stays.
