so i tried replacing my o2 sensor on 95 jeep grand cherokee, and the damn thing wont budge. i put the car in idle for like 3mins to expand it, used an extended length wrench and no luck. theres little room to work with, the sensor is next to the sump and the transmission is nearby. i think in the previous service, they didnt use anti seize. so how do i go about this?

you can get the little kits for like 10-15 bucks or so... ive done it with an acetalyne (sp?) torch a couple times, just gotta be careful

^7 i did the on/off key OBD1 and it reads #21 and #52. im assuming its the o2 sensor at the exhaust manifold, im gonna lock two wrenches togther and try but im told there are special wrenches for the o2 sensor.

if you arent saving the sensor, the easiest and not likely to bust your knuckles way is to clip the wire off, use a deep 6 point socket and a 1/2" drive breaker bar

^ yea i looked it up too, its been idling rough and surges so i figured its the sensor, i think 96 and up models have 2 sensors while 93-95 has 1 sensor at the exhaust manifold. i might be wrong but thats the impression i got.
