you'd be glad to know that it hasn't rained since they called the race. they didn't start it because they can't start the race unless they can finish the entire distance--per the NASCAR/TV Network contracts

I thought they could call it if they'd completed more than half of the planned laps??? That's what they said during the Craftsman race last night. But that was on Speed TV.

still hasnt rained. they never started the race (never took the green flag). But if it starts at the scheduled time, and you can complete half the laps, they will call it at halfway.

Like I said, the Craftsmen guys said they needed 51% for it to be an official race. Maybe the rules are different, I'm not sure.

51% of the laps must be completed to call a race that has begun, but the networks wont allow a race to start unless they can finish it, because they loose sponsership money if the whole race cannot be run

I cant guarantee, but it should be on FOX50 and FOX50-HD. Theyve carried every FOX Nextel Cup race that was moved to Monday that I can recall.

As for that TV contract, you would think the networks would lose just as much money by having the race on a Monday when the audience is much smaller than a Sunday afternoon.
