when I cannot access their ATMs and mailing a cheque is too slow?

Is there anykind of e-transfer mechanism?

I tried PayPal, but it's gonna take 3 days to verify my second account.

Do you have online banking? I know at least chase offers this service. Try calling your banks 1800 # if that doesn't help.

Wachovia doesn't have branches in the mid west

I have online banking but it shows no way for me to transfer money from a different account.

USAA and BOA let you. So far as I can tell, SECU doesn't.

Doubt that helps :-\

You're best best is to use another ATM and pay the 2 dollar service fee.

A bank wire is 40-60 bucks, western union will run you 15-20% of the transaction amount, paypal will take a few days and cost you 2.5% or a fee usually.

I thought paypal was free for private users.

Well, see the thing is that I just gotta take out cash from one account and put it in another account.

How can I do that?

Wiring is expensive.

Write a check if you can wait the 5 days they will hold it.

Use an ATM if you need it immediately, thats the only instant way, ATM it all out of one account, and cash deposit into the other.

wire transfer - all you need is your second bank's ABA number (also called routing number) and your account number

wait wait wait dude.

You use the ATM to WITHDRAW the money from Bank #1.

Then you walk INTO Bank #2 in the morning to deposit it.

If you are trying to DEPOSIT money into the bank not in your area, there's no way in hell you are going to be able to that for free, tomorrow.

you can stop looking at paypal, because anything involving bank account transactions takes a few days at the least.

and i can only assume you want to transfer money from Wachovia to SECU...because I can't see SECU charging excessive wire fees.

yeah this is a bit last minute to try to get shit like this done for free. how much does SECU charge for wire transfers? Its gotta be less than Western Union.

And what amount are we talking here?

you should have been better prepared - due to your lack of preparation you will now pay the price unless you can wait

I know you can do this thru SECU's website, http://www.ncsecu.org

do you use online banking with them? When you log on, there's a tab for transferring money. if you really do need to transfer it today, you'll have to bite the bullet
