there's a couple zo150 threads out there but they have all been idle for more than 90 days. Anyway, can anyone tell me what heatwole's exam is like? do the review questions come from previous tests or is everything fair game? I don't think i can remember everything from this semester

^^ Review session is @ noon today in the lab. How do you know that he is giving out the questions? Or are you just trying to recruit people to his review session for some reason....

Somehow I cannot see Heatwole allowing a TA to give out the final exam.

^He has given the TAs each test before we've taken them.. and at the review sessions they give "hints".... Basically they tell you the questions. Ben already had a review session on Tuesday and I went... that is how I know he is "helping" with the questions

I didn't go again, but if you want the information from Tuesday's session, I can PM/email it to you, because I have it all typed up.

I found a good resource for the phylogenetic tree.

Its from the DE section of Animal Diversity (ZO 495?)

can someone explain the significance of a trochophore larva? all i know that some mullusks and annelids have it and that it has bands of cilia.

^that is my problem too, I can't find anything on the differences between them. All I can find is that they have that band of cilia around them and a little truft of cilia up top

^^ The trochophore larva is unique to the mollusks and some annelids... Because of this it is thought that they have a common ancestor. That is basically the significance, it the evidence that ties mollusks and annelids together on the phylogentic chart.

he's still giving us the opportunity to make up the first partial exam on the final right? did they say anything about it in the review session?

the exam is in two parts. the first part will cover only material from the first partial, which will be the "retake" even though everyone has to do this part. The second part will cover everything from after the first partial.

its from the lecture about human origins. look at the picture link under 'what makes a human, a human?' for the fully upright posture.
