has anyone taken eng 223, Contemporary World Literature I?? if so, hard, easy, know of a better eng that fulfills a non-english culture requirement??

i think most of those 200 level englishes are gonna be about the same difficulty level...i'd just recommend finding a subject you're interested in and take that instead of worrying about finding an "easy" one

just took 223 w/rouphail she is a good professor really knows her stuff, wasn't too hard but there is a pretty good amount of reading

I was told its a comparitively easy class so i signed up for it too. lets hope the advice i got is solid.

I've had most of these courses and enjoyed them. I found them all under a non-english culture requirement thing online. All of those 200 level classes I listed were easy when I took them. Kellner or Hairston would be good for those english courses, & Parker or Sack or Detreville would be good for those history courses. Parker perhaps the highest quality historian we have at ncsu, detreville is a nice person who knows her stuff, & Sack has a very vibrant personality although it can come off really strong & some people take it as borderline rude. (Sack likes to yell the world "People" in the middle of sentences to keep attention... he can be a good/fun professor if you go into it with the right attitude)
